The kite festival in Talk Story

Aloha...

It's our annual kite festival... bringing even more visitors to our small town...

Restaurants are full... lots of people shopping at Fred Meyer (tough to find a parking place)... streets are busy with motor-homes and trucks towing travel-trailers...

The state park has had it's "no vacancy" sign up for a couple of weeks... as have most of our motels...

I guess with all of the heat inland (over 100f) people are flocking to the coast (here the temperatures range between 65-70f)...

And while I'm not actually complaining (well... truth be told yes I am)... I will be glad when school starts up again... the visitors move on... and we (as in me) gets to enjoy the solitude once again...
