No, love does not conquer all.
Entropy conquers all.
But that doesn't minimize love's fleeting victories.
It only makes them more special.
It only makes them more precious.
Love is an eyeblink in the face of eternity.
But so are we.
We are mayflies in this together, you and I.
We are mayflies, both love and the human race.
But that's okay.
As long as we cherish this while we have it.
Love will crumble.
Lives will fade away.
Planets will decay and the stars will explode.
And the sky will unravel.
Our atoms themselves will eventually fray.
Into their constituent strings.
Like a cheap rug in a tumble drier.
But we can love now.
And love cannot conquer everything.
But it can conquer now.
And now is all we have.
So laugh into the face of entropy.
And love.
