Aloha.....

Overcast and foggy in the morning as the marine layer hangs on shore... but by mid-afternoon the sun is shining... and the temperature rises into the high 70s...

The town is filled with tourists... which is a good thing for the local merchants... lots of motorhomes and trucks pulling travel trailers on the highway... and the state park is filled to capacity...

My life seems a bit mundane... walks along the shore... an occasional hike through the forest... working (playing) in my backyard... lunches out with friends... Nascar and Golf on t/v on the weekends...

Yesterday afternoon I washed the car... still enjoying my new "ride"... and perhaps because it is red... or perhaps because I live in a small town... and it is the only red Honda Civic Coupe here... I get a lot of lingering looks when I drive it...

I have just come in from reading out on the back deck... enjoying the warmth of the sun... looking at my collection of succulents (which at this time of year... almost all of them are in bloom)... and watching the squirrels play "tag" as they race to and fro on the tree branches behind my house...

All is well with me...

And yet...

Aloha oe...
