I'm around. Reading. Hi.

This month we mark nine years since we met. We are strangely giddy about it. It's also Cocktober, so that could be contributing to the giddy. We will be 10 months married on the 28th. It's really, really good.

He waited for me this morning. Showered, dressed and worked downstairs instead of going to the office. When he heard me stir he came up and took me back to bed. I was confused but more than accommodating.

This morning he said with a smirk, "I can't believe you've been my wife for nine years." "I've been your wife since the day I was born, we just didn't know it."

We have issues, we get out of sync sometimes. He isn't a good listener--which is really hard for me as communication is what drew us together. I accuse him of a bait and switch. He tries harder. I have anxiety, it limits us. I try harder.

I'm working on bravery lately. I uncovered a fear and an answer to that fear, if I'm brave enough to do it. It's not different than jumping out of airplanes, looking toward and facing the hard feelings. I'm not brave anymore, but it's important to me, so I'll try harder.

There is more. There is always more. But I need to go to the store and transition to evening. You guys write more, ok? I Oh, that's the other "date." Next month, I will have been writing (there, here, wherever) 15 years! Funny, I no longer think of it as how long I've been writing, but how long we have been friends.
