I haven’t written here in ages and ages. u.u

I do want to get back into the habit of writing, hopefully daily, but even weekly sounds good. I know that part of the reason why I didn’t write much is that I didn’t have much to write, lol. I still don’t have much on the day to day but I’m hoping that I can clear the cobwebs and crap in my head.

Tim and I are still married, lol. We’re going on 3.5 years of wedded bliss, and I only think about squeezing his neck till his eyes pop out kewpie style about three times a week. So I think the marriage is going well. Especially since I haven’t acted on that thought yet. Yesterday was his birthday… I suppose I should make a cake today to take to his work without him knowing about it beforehand. I’m thinking a chocolate cake with strawberry cream cheese frosting.

My schedule these days is fucking crazy. Mom, Rider, and Tim all require rides to work and none of them work the same schedule / hours. Tim works day shift with Thursdays and Fridays off, Mom works mid shift with Fridays and Saturdays off, and Rider works Night shift with (usually) Sundays and Mondays off. Which means Tuesday / Wednesday my entire day is spent driving around on whatever sleep I can catch. My schedule:

8:45 - 9:20 – Take Tim to work (has to be there by 9)

9:20 – Feed our guinea pigs (we have only 2 now, and bunbun passed away earlier this year) and clean their cage (we switched to fleece bedding for the girls, and needs freshened up daily).

11:40a (or so) - 12:20p – Take Mom to work (has to be there by 1, but likes getting there around noonish, so she can relax and such). Mom switched to mid-shift about two months ago and she’s still trying to get used to it. It’s so much easier on her body though.

(Time here to actually get things done, like nap or clean up or (in today’s case) bake a cake)

3:45p - 5:45 (T, W, Th) // 4:45 - 6:45 (F, S) – Take Rider to work. He’s working at Lucky Eagle now, which is about 45 mins away one way. He got tired of Redwind fucking him every which way they can and when the chef that hired and promoted him from dishwasher to cook moved to Lucky Eagle, him and three others followed not long after. It’s a nice drive, even if it is a long and annoying one. :) The doggos are sad that he doesn’t allow them to ride with us on this trip, but he wants to try to limit the dog hair on his uniform as much as possible.

6:00p (M, T, W) – Pick up Tim. On Saturday he has to take the bus home, and sometimes on Sunday, depending on how I’m feeling. Saturday and Sunday he gets off at 4pm, not 6, but otherwise, yeaaaah.

9:00p - 9:30 – Pick up Mom from work.

10:00p - 12:40a – Nap time! Try to get a little sleep while Tim’s playing on the computer, listening to music, having hte light on and crafting. I have earplugs and an eye mask now, it helps a lot.

12:50a - 2:40a – Pick up Rider from work. On Friday and Saturday, he gets off at 2 am instead of 1:30, but he’s never on time, so I get an extra hour or so of sleep. But any other day, I’m dragging my ass out of bed and taking the dogs out so I can get there by 1:30am. This drive is really nice, not too many people on the road, and just me, the dogs, and my audiobook. :)

3:00a - 8:30a – Sleeeeeeep. Then get up to do it aaaaaalll over again.

It’s actually not too bad. The only days that I have the full schedule to do is Tuesday and Wednesday, the rest of the week there’s 1 trip less, except for Friday, which has two people less. I generally can get Tim to take Rider to work and/or pick him up on Friday. Also, Wednesday nights, Tim does the Rider run at 1am, so I can get a (mostly) uninterrupted night’s sleep.

I talk about wanting money, and wanting to get a job, but there’s no real time that I can do a full 8 hours. Hell, I don’t have much in the way of time that I can do a part time job either. I’m thinking about bringing in my resume to the ice cream shop that we go to… they want an afterhours host to keep the place open late on Friday and Saturday nights, so they can have a gaming party thing. I was thinking of doing that, it wouldn’t be much, money wise, and probably isn’t worth it, but it’d get me out of the house and working again.

Oh, speaking of gaming, we have a gaming store right down the street from our house now – it’s called Paradox Gaming and it’s really damned cool. The store space is really limited, maybe 1/5th of the store is for selling things (Warhammer and other minis, D&D accessories, MTG / Pokemon / etc card games, etc. etc.) and the rest of the space is play area. They have 2 (or maybe 3) Warhammer / Mini tables with a shit ton of terrain that you can set up f or whatever battle your heart desires, as well as a half dozen long tables for playing D&D and card games and such. And of course, there’s tourneys and the like there too. They get the majority of their money from membership fees – you pay 20.00 a month and get unlimited access to the facility as well as 10% off most purchases. I don’t do much in the way of gaming, but I enjoy going there to craft and the like. :) I’ve met some fun people there and it’s a good way of getting out. They have their beer and wine license too, so we can buy a beer and work on crafting or the boys can play Warhammer or MTG or the like. It’s a pretty chill time… I need to spend more time there, I think.

Crafting is going well. Tim and I finally decided that we want to try to run everything as a business, so we got our business license and signed up for two events for this year. Now it’s time to get inventory up and going. :D I picked up some new projects these few years… I make bentwood rings out of veneer, and we’re getting into handbound leather journals. The journals are the newest thing… I’m still working on getting things just right with them. Mom and Tim are impressed that I’m able to bind them as well as I do, considering I picked it up this week. I’m really enjoying it, and am working on figuring out the right types of paper to use for it. I’m leaning towards the 95lb drawing paper that I found at Hobby Lobby by Master’s Touch, as well as 60lb bright white paper for drawing / markers, and 28lb parchment type paper for writing.

I want to do a character journal, for gaming, where it has lined, dot matrix, as well as blank pages in it, so you can keep all your notes in one place. I’m also looking to do bookmarks with my veneer, as well as other little things like that.

But yeah, that’s the update so far. XD I got lots others to talk about, including Annie coming home, and Jessica (Rider’s almost-girlfriend) and yeaaah, but that’s all the time I have right now… gotta grab food and then make a shopping list for cake and such.

I’m on the bounce today!
