What to Do, What to Do? in Still Listening to Spirit

I decided I need a job. Called Ed at the Market after I was told by 2 different people that he needed cashiers. Either he hired when the one person who told me ws off work and she didn't know, or Ed doesn't want me working for him. Either way, I am okay with this.

We really do need the money. Or is it I really want the money?

So here is how things are right now, today. Lynn told me there isn't anyone in Juneau who can do the lung biopsy. I wonder if what she meant was there was not a lung specialist in Juneau. It seems to me if there are general surgeons in Juneau, they can go in and pluck a bit of tissue out of a lung. Or maybe I am making this too simple.

So, I investigated lung specialists in Anchorage on the web, didn't find any but that doesn't mean they aren't there. There were several listed, but when I went to their websites, it didn't seem that this was their only 'specialty'....

Then I looked up my surgeon who did my aorta surgery more than 15 years ago. He has a whole surgical group now. He also had an e-mail addy on his website. So I wrote him. He's in Fairbanks.

My surgery in Fairbanks and care afterwards was excellent. Patient to nurse ratio at the hospital was 3 to 1 and in intensive care after surgery for several days, it was one nurse in my room, observing almost continuously day and night.

There is also a wonderful woman there who owns lots of property and has lots of property she takes care of....we stayed in a house that she watches over that is empty except for a few weeks when the owners return in the summer.

Anyway, That is an alternative.

Meantime, Lynn wants us to meet with John H, the mental health person here in town through Lynn Canal Counselling services. We have an appointment with him at 10am to morrow to 'expedite' the disability application with State Medicaid. She says 'John says it takes a long time and we don't have a long time.' So...

I am still waiting for Spirit to show us the next big thing to do. Meantime, it was sunny all day and we got temps in the upper 70's, so Bill and I sat outside on the deck after I went to the market for stuff and had a lovely, rambling talk about just about everything and nothing.

And the next thing in front of me is sleep and then the 10am appointment.

Traci and Nathan have closed their business. Very hard thing to do, but he is fighting for custody of his children on a full time basis and the store isn't making enough money for him to pay attorneys and take the children full time. Also, the store is open too many hours a day for Nathan to have time to do the whole day-to-day school children pick ups and so on that need done.

Plus Traci has been away from her children a lot being in another town to run the store. The three satellite stores are doing well, franchises or whatever they are that are still "Til We Meet Again". The 'dream' is not dead, just changed. I know this is a sad time for Traci but she will get through it.

Blessed be!
