It was a good night. Turns out it was just a group of Vish's close friends who were there/invited I guess. I messaged that I was coming over, but when I got there, there was no answer at the door. Great, they'd gone out. So I just hung out in the small hallway, as I didn't particularly want to go back down to the foyer where the manager was, because, well quite frankly she's a bitch and just negative energy :P
Vish rang me, and was about 5 minutes away, as they'd gone to drop his boyfriend's dad off at the airport, so I didn't have to wait overly long, probably about 10 minutes all up. Some guy from one of the other apartments exited the elevator and walked past me sitting in the hallway haha, which must've looked weird. I thought to myself I should just have my own key to their apartment I'm probably there often enough. At least they were back in their actual apartment again, as their tenant was gone, and the one they were in is now being renovated. Vish arrived and gave me a quick squizz at it - stuff everywhere, but the new kitchen counter-top looks like it'll come up nice.
I'd brought my present over, as well as the stuff I was meant to give them two weeks ago, which was just some stuff from the supermarket when I was there with the car.
Vish spent the first while bitching about his boyfriend's mother haha, as he often does. His boyfriend arrived home shortly afterward with flowers for Vish, and I was surprised when Vish burst into tears! He went from happy to complete waterworks at the sight of the flowers and spent probably a full minute just holding his boyfriend close. He hadn't even had a chance to put the cake down. His boyfriend was sweet about it and just let him hold him. The whole time I was being like, "cheer up! No crying on your birthday!' when in reality I should've just let them have their moment. I meant well, but I guess his reaction shocked me a little. Vish then said (through tears) that he'd felt alone all day. Alone? Your boyfriend was only at work! He's a strange one :) It was kinda cute.
I then said Vish could open his present, now that his boyfriend was home. He did so, and he loooved that card haha. He said he wasn't expecting anything from me, but he seemed to like the present as well. I'm doing well with gift-giving so far this year :D Just have my friend Carly's birthday in a few weeks - but she already knows what I've gotten her. It's a purple dildo she'd asked for. I found the closest thing I could find to what she was after whilst I was down in Sydney, so hopefully she'll like what I came up with.
Rick was next to arrive. Always good to see him, and then Angelo arrived a while later, still in his work jacket haha. He had grown his facial hair out and was looking a little scruffy, but it's Angelo, it suits his Italian looks.
We left for the restaurant, walking to the city. It was pretty cold out and Vish had (stupidly) decided to only wear a jumper as a top, no shirt beneath, so I knew he'd be freezing in no time, as he always feels cold when it's not even cold, let alone now! I was wearing my red jacket that I've had since I worked at Cotton On, and I hadn't worn it in ages, but at least it kept me warm. It didn't really go with my white jeans I was wearing, but I couldn't really care about fashion at the best of times, let alone when it was freezing out.
The food was quite nice. Vish actually asked the waiter if they could change the music as it was his birthday haha! They were playing some weird stuff anyway, so I was surprised when they actually changed it and gay-ed it up a little haha.
I had the peppered beef, which ended up tasting quite nice. We had a good laugh and meals and walked back to the apartment for the cake. Angelo went to use the public bathroom and walked back out wiping each side of his mouth, making us all laugh.
The cake Vish's boyfriend had bought was delish! Some mango jelly cake thing, more like a large tart but still the size of a cake. I think I included it in one of my pics I took.
I was the last one to leave, and I went home briefly and was surprised the Kyrgios/Nadal match had started on TV, so of course I watched that. I had a good feeling about Kyrgios as I've followed him throughout the juniors, so when he won the first set, I was pretty damn excited. I know what he's capable of, and that serve is just amazing! But even though the match was still on, I forced myself to go to the gym. Now THAT'S willpower - to pull myself away from a tennis match like that and walk outside into the freezing cold to go to the gym! i knew the match would be playing on the TV's there though, so I could stay updated on the score.
The sleeping-guy was there yet again. I'm amazed no-one's reported him yet, which would be unnecessary but probably protocol. There he is, every night, passed out on the couch with the hoodie over his head. Anyway, I did my workout and it was pretty decent I guess, but I knew I wasn't completely focused on it because of the weather and I managed to watch some more of the match. Nadal took the second set and I started to get a bit anxious, but Kyrgios still seemed to have the upper-hand and didn't let his guard down. I was so excited for this match when it was 4-4 in the 3rd set, so I finished up and made my way home. I knew it was freezing out and all I really wanted to do was crawl under my covers and watch the rest of the match, so I did exactly just that. Was pretty proud I hadn't skipped my gym, and at least it was something, and I hadn't skipped any exercises.
I'm about to head out and meet this guy. No it's not a date. Just because I go and meet up with someone doesn't make it a date haha. If it was a date I'd be all butterfly-y, but I'm just playing it cool and seeing what this guy is like. Plus, we all know I completely suck at dating. I wouldn't even know what a date involves it's been that long.
