Relationship Building in My Musings

I’ve asked a number of colleagues, both current and previous, what they consider my key skill / asset and they’ve consistently said the same thing. It’s quite funny and ironic, really, considering my introverted nature.

Then again, maybe it’s not much of a surprise. After all, I’ve found it quite easy to warm up to people (and vice-versa) once a connection has been established. I’m not exactly sure what the possible cause of said connection is, however. I’ve often referred to myself as an acquired taste, and even compared my personality to stale bread - to which someone special I’ve been seeing, considers a ridiculous statement. I’d like to clarify that I am not making a mockery of myself; rather, it is brought about by a combination of self-awareness and lived experience, accurate or otherwise.

Nonetheless, it does feel reassuring to have this skill / talent / gift, and I can only look forward to enriching it further.
