feels like mid summer now, Glastonbury bowed out last night and we are into the second week of Wimbledon, and on two weeks next Friday we have the first night of the Proms; an even that carries us through the second part of summer and in to Septembers cool nights.

I’m not trying to put a downer on things while we have the days of mid summer to enjoy, the opening page of the 2014 Proms has three glamorous ladies musical and a conductor, and behind him a full sized animated hoarse from the stage show ‘The War Hoarse’ so we have an inkling of the subject for one evening.

For me Jake Bugg remains the best performer of the three days, not a scientific undertaking as not being there I only saw a small numbers performers, and I expect every one who was there will say much the same; it’s a huge site with a nine mile perimeter – and sixteen stages of various sizes!

I watched Kasabian give the last set of the festival, they gave a great show to a truly huge crowd, jumping stomping and waving fans as far as the eye could see. Dolly Parton had a good reception and huge crowd of fans to cheer on American’s Queen of Country music; and the weather wasn’t wet; Dolly had some sun pecking through the clouds for her appearance – that a good reception in this country!

A little news.

At the agility class Jo is having a monthly competition, as usual I remained in the car while Daughter went of with Ziggy and Lola, they walk quite nicely for her. Over the hour and a half a did hear some barking that sounded like Ziggy, it sounded more excitement than over the top.

When the three of them returned they had some news, Lola was second in the competition with 46 points and their friend Patch was third with 41. The winner with 48 points was our Ziggy! I’m told Ziggy was given congratulations from the rest of the crowd, they have seen Ziggy improve over the last eighteen month; of course Ziggy loves being the centre of attention.

Jo has amended the rules so that small dogs Like Lola have a better chance, she has always been very good at agility but didn’t do well as she lost points on speed; now her short legs don’t hold her back – just Ziggy!
