But it's my money, right? Not like I'm drinking or anything. I should be allowed to buy myself stuff.

Well, on the back of my Doctor Who coat, which was awesome, I was looking around the internet and I saw an Xbox one. But I was stalwart. I said I'd dialled out of the latest generation of console wars and gone back to PC gaming. This is what I've done. Don't need a console, don't want a console.

So I went back home that night and decided to download a game off steam to reassure myself this was the correct decision. Then I bumped into the problem I've been avoiding for a while now.

My PC (nicknamed Sexy) is now starting to show her age a little. She's a laptop for a start and whilst she had a dedicated graphics card, she's not exactly what you'd call a leviathan of gaming power. Sadly, however, I can't afford a new gaming pc. Just can't justify it to myself.

Ok, so I bought a new computer. Sue me. I've wanted one for ages and I'm saving over a hundred pounds a month in not drinking at the moment and my birthday is coming up and I'm going to put that money into paying it off and I'm making excuses to justify that fact that I just wanted it sooooooooooo badly.

Tell you what though? It's going to run pretty much every game I want to play for the next 3 years. And Dungeons and Dragons online is going to look very very pretty all of a sudden.
