A day at home. in 2014

I ended up staying home from work today, after leaving at 2pm on Thursday. The infection and resulting tensing of my jaw muscles agravated the TMJ to proportions I hadn't felt since having my wisdom teeth removed in '01. The resulting pain was worse than the pain from the infection itself. If Norco barely takes the edge off, you know there are issues.

The swelling has gone down quite a bit since the morning and most of the range of motion is back. I think the reason it hurt so bad yesterday just a few hours into my shift was due to how much I talk at work. Being in a trainer/mentor position, it goes with the job. Calling in today means I'll have 2.5 attendance points. Half a point from Thursday, two from today since Friday thru Monday are double points if you call in (thanks to all the jackasses who would call in just because it was the weekend). I'm not worried about it since I had no points and everyone knows how bad off I was Tuesday and Thursday.

But being at home has it's disadvantages. Today was payday. I ended up ordering four dresses from eBay I had my eye on and two orders from BPAL. I'm trying different scents this time and got a full sized bottle of Eve from their Only Lovers Left Alive limited edition collection. I'm very excited about that. I also ordered some imps for me and gifts for Tammera, Rosie and Jerry's wife Heather since they are all awesome.

The dressed threw Ben for a loop since he's only seen me in a dress once in five years until this last week. Since I've been dressing business casual, they are cooler in Oklahoma summer weather. So, I'm pretty excited about my purchases but probably spent more money than I should have.

I think I'll watch Walking with Dinosaurs again and try to dose off. I took a five hour nap today, so my sleeping is a wee bit off tonight.
