Today is mine and hubby's 11 year anniversary :-) It seems to have gone by so fast! His girls were 4, 6 and 10 and my son was 12 when he and I started dating. Now Josh is 23, married and a 2nd Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, Caity is 22 and is married with 2 babies, Michaela just graduated high school and will be starting college in the Fall, and Sera will be a junior in high school in the Fall. Wow....just....wow! Hubby and I have certainly had our ups and downs over the past 11 years, but he truly is my best friend and I can't imagine my life without him. He makes me laugh, he supports me, and he's seen me at my best and my worst and never blinked once. For better or worse....that's what we said, and we meant it.

We went to Longhorn Steakhouse tonight for dinner. Hubby had filet mignon and lobster tail and I had lobster and scallops with grilled corn. For dessert we split one of those chocolate molten lava cakes with vanilla bean ice cream...heavenly!! So yeah, we basically stuffed ourselves and now we're at home watching Thor 2 and groaning about how full we are. Hubby has to work tomorrow so it'll be an early night for him. Me, I plan on sleeping in tomorrow....woo hoo!!

Today also marked the end of my second week at my new job. I love it....I absolutely love it! I'm totally kicking ass doing order processing, and soon I'll be cross-trained in order entry and customer service and eventually purchasing and logistics. I'm REALLY looking forward to learning logistics. I love the fact that there's all kinds of possibilities for advancement in this company, especially since it's a growing company. I also found out that I'll get a 90 day review and quite possibly a raise if they're happy with my work. Trust me, they will be. Working with such wonderful and laid back people and being so unstressed makes me want to work my hardest for them, and I have been.

Hubby told me tonight that he's really glad I'm at this new job. I asked him even though it meant a cut in pay and he said yes, and that he didn't want me going back to the legal field. He said he never wanted to see me in the condition I was in back in November ever again. I can't tell you how good it made me feel to hear those words from him. He is so supportive of my new job. He also apologized earlier this week for freaking out about money. He said it was uncalled for and he knows I've been feeling unappreciated lately and he's sorry and promised to be more appreciative of all I do and more supportive, and he has been. Every night for the past two weeks he fixed my lunch so all I had to do in the morning was throw it in my lunch bag before heading to work. It really is the little things that mean so much, at least to me. I don't want expensive things, I've never been like that. Hold my hand, cut up vegetables and fruit for me for my lunch, text me during the day and ask how my day is going....those are the things that matter to me. And he does all those things, and I love him even more for it.

Next week is a short week because of the 4th...yay!!! Any of you have anything fun planned? The couple I used to babysit for (remember Benny and Paulo?) invited a bunch of people, including me and hubby, to a party at their house. There will be a fireworks show literally across the street from where they live, plus they're going to light off some of their own. There's going to be grilling, and it's BYOB. It sounds like fun and we might go. I'd really like to because I really would love to see the boys again. Even though I'm very happy with my new job, I still miss those two little monsters...lol. They might have driven me bonkers at times but I did get attached to those little guys. And I really do like Xavier and Amanda a lot and I think Tony would really like them too. So even if we only go for a few hours it'll still be fun.

Tomorrow (after I sleep in, of course) I'm going to pick up Mary and we're going to hang out and grab something to eat before going to church. I haven't seen her in a few weeks and I've missed the last two weeks of church, so I'm really looking forward to it. I've missed her, and I've REALLY missed church. When I miss church for a while I start feeling very blah. I not only love to go, I need to go....it feeds my soul and brings me such peace and joy like nothing else can. I love the fact that quite a few of the people I work with go to the same church.

A damn fly has gotten into the apartment and it's insisting on flying around my head....the little fucker. It's like it's saying nana nana boo boo, you can't catch me!

You know, Thor is hot....I mean HOT hot! I've never been one much for blondes, but he is just...yummy! But I'd still take Loki over Thor any day. I've always gone for dark-haired guys and I just LOVE those mischievous bad boys ;-)

My son's ship is out for 2 months...-sigh- I told the little brat to call me before he left but did he? Of course not. Hopefully he'll get a chance to call me while he's out. From what I understand they'll be spending a lot of time off the coast of Hawaii, so once they get there he should be able to call me. Oh, and I don't know if I mentioned it, but his wife, Mia, got a job!! From what she's told me she really loves it. I'm so glad for her! This will keep her busy and hopefully she'll make some friends so she won't be so lonely and depressed. I'm going to give her a call this weekend and see how she's doing.

I have Ben again this Sunday, as always. If the weather is nice I think I'll take him to the park. He just loves being outside, and the fresh air and then a good lunch will equal a nice long nap. SCORE!

Well, I think I'm out of things to talk about for now....that and I'm jonesing for a cigarette. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Much love....xoxo
