They are used to having roommates. I'm not used to being a semi-roommate. But so far it is working.

It was a warm night last night in the van. This morning I was up fairly early and reading when Jassy tapped on the window and said the coffee was on. I followed her up the stairs. We sat and talked and had our coffee.

She had to be at work at 11am and wanted to go to the license bureau first to renew her driver's license. I said I'd ride along. We were in and out quick. For some reason they now mail your license to you. They used to make them right then and there.

She drove over to the locksmith and had two apartment keys made, one for Clayton and one for me. I guess the other day when I had to bail out of the van at noon when it had warmed up to 92 degrees and I banged on the door and woke everybody up may have been the reminder to get keys made.

I think I've decided to give up the P.O. box. I've had it for nearly twenty years. But I don't think it's worth the $28 every six months. That's ridiculous. I'll turn the keys in and I won't leave a forwarding address. I'll notify the child support folks and the food stamp folks of the new address which will be Jassy's. To hell with everybody else. I'll pick and choose carefully whom to give that address to.

Last night was a bad wifi night. Hardee's was down. Burger King's quit at 9pm. I had to go to McD's until midnight.

Oh yeah, I finished reading "Flight of the Silvers" by Daniel Price a couple of days ago. Jassy and I went to the library and I found two books waiting for me. Nice.

Jassy came home from work today with more goodies she'd rescued from the dumpster including five jars of apricot preserves. Nice.

I sat in the apartment all day and read. I got a little cleaning out the van done before it started raining. And I did get the dishes done before Jassy got home from work. She always likes it when I do that. She made some excellent dirty rice for supper. So good!

Anyway, the rain today was nice. It should be a cool night tonight.
