So I’ve completely disassembled, and cleaned the Shark vacuum. I had to, because it was clogged with cat hair. Not from my cats, as one would expect, but from the previous owners’ cat(s). The carpet looked clean when we got here, and I vacuum maybe once a week, realistically. But the vacuum canister just kept filling with cat hair that it pulls out of the carpets. A few days ago it finally stopped working properly, and when I opened it up it was horrendous. As an aside, this my first vacuum that didn’t come from Wal-Mart. I wondered at the time whether it would be noticeably better than a Bissell. The verdict is a definitive yes. I’m guessing the previous owners had a Bissell. If any Bissell users are reading this, spring for a Shark. You won’t regret it.
Two paintings are in the works. I’m trying to paint every every day, one to two hours. I want to have these both done by the 31st.
The movie ‘Glorious’ is great. All my favorite things in one film: A Lovecraftian monster, karmic retribution, gratuitous violence, reasonably intelligent dialogue, and morbid comedy. It even has bits of classical philosophy. It might seem overdone to some. It’s not for “normal” people, I know that. But for the right sort of person, it lives up to its name.
It rains blood mist at one point, while our pseudo-protagonist cowers on the floor. I know that most of the people I’ve known would be revolted, but even knowing that, I just sat and grinned through the whole thing. I like seeing fictional schmucks suffer.
Good horror comedy is hard to find.
