Snoozing Cat Phantoms in Hello

Smokey is sound asleep in my lap. He was wiggling around a moment ago, having a dream. I gently petted him briefly and he relaxed.

Just finished my first Dean Koontz book.
Phantoms
Very Lovecraftian with several references to communities that just vanished into thin air. It was odd and filled with a lot of gruesome deaths but I liked it.

Figured if I’m not going to sleep might as well read.

I’ve got insomnia since I’m not boozed up. Got maybe an hour or so of sleep since Tuesday night. It happens. The temps dropped and I had the fan going full blast yet I still was sweating out the toxins in my body. Ended up taking a nice long shower. The things you learn when getting sober. I’m a bit sleepy so I might try and sleep in a few. Then again, maybe not. 🤷
