Wedding Season in Life in General

I’ve got so much to do with social media stuff but this month was really difficult because October is usually my busiest wedding month. I haven’t booked a wedding in about a year but since it’s so popular this month I had a few stacked up from way back. And of course I’m not going to back out of those weddings and be like “sorry I gotta make vertical videos for TikTok so I can’t shoot your wedding anymore.” haha.
And to add on top of that, the weddings are in Austin and I’ve moved 3 hours away. Most of the weddings I just sucked it up and drove out and back on the same day, but this past weekend I decided to book a hotel because the wedding started pretty early and was for 11 hours of coverage. I typically only book 8 hours maximum but she asked me for more coverage and I liked her and her fiance so I agreed. Well anyway I’m finally done and now I only have two more weddings booked, one in November and one in February. Woo! I still like shooting weddings and I may go back to it eventually (when the tiktok well dries up) but for now I just can’t handle that much stuff to do at once.
Anyway little did I know but ACL (a HUGE music festival in Austin) was happening that weekend so all of the hotels were booked up. Luckily I booked my hotel a couple months back so I was all good, but something happened that hasn’t ever happened to me before. I just finished a 4-ish hour drive and when I get to the hotel they’re like “sorry we overbooked” so they didn’t have a room for me. Who the hell takes a 2 month old reservation and just gives it to someone else?!? Needless to say I was pretty peeved but I think they saw it coming and booked me a nicer hotel about a mile away. It was like one of those extended stay places so it had separate rooms and a full kitchen, so whatever at least it wasn’t that far away. But still, I’m gonna be leaving them a very honest review for that bullshit.
So today I’m starting working out with my home gym and also starting my diet again. I’m pushing 220 again and I hate being at this weight so it’s time to drop some lbs. My first goal is to get back below 200 and then my final goal will be 180ish. I don’t know exactly what my final weight will actually be because while I know what my weight hovers around when i’m working out at a gym, I’ve never done a home gym before but I’m anticipating I may use my gym more since it’s so convenient. I’ve always wanted to work out muscle groups more than once a week but hated going to the gym so much that I never did it. So I may get more swole than usual… time will tell!
