Here I am back home. in At the foot of the hill

Back home in Colorado. We actually came home Tuesday. We actually got home Tuesday night, but it seemed like we were on the road for a week. But first, let me tell about our time in Montana.

Being with the family was so good. I've been needing that for awhile now. Hugging on those two beautiful granddaughters was super medicine for this old lady. They are so grown up now: 21 and 19. Both out of the nest, so to speak, although they are home for the summer and working.

Janice is at the same financial office as her mom, full time this summer. She has worked there part time for a few school vacations in the past. Debra is doing an internship at the Summer Theater. She has been involved with this group for ten years, singing, dancing and helping with stage management, hair and costume design, sound and lighting and being a gopher. She loves it so much she is majoring in Musical Theater. This year she is actually getting paid a small stipend and has a few speaking lines. It was so much fun to get to see her in action. She has come so far... and will continue to grow.

The show we saw was "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story". I have seen some fantastic shows over the years, including Phantom, with the original cast, and The King and I with Yul Brenner (his last tour). And this summer theater production seemed just as good to me as those did... Live music, loud music, rock 'n roll....right out of my late tees. Lots of memories. We got to go opening night and loved it so much we went back a second time. If we had stayed another weekend, we'd probably have done it again....

It looks like part of this entry took off into the cloud, so I'll quit now and see what posts....
