From one of my spammy witch emails
The energies of a full moon lasts for 3 days. And This full moon is about reflection, slowing down and being vulnerable.

I can’t “power through” this part.
I need to honour my feelings and sit with them, use the tools that I teach and allow the processing and healing that is needed when life changes direction or a new chapter begins.

If you too are feeling reflective then here are some things that you can try:

  • Journal

Writing down how you feel as bullet points or paragraphs can help you to gain clarity and process your feelings.
It is sometimes a nice practice to set your space with a candle and some soft music to allow your heart to open, so that you can access feelings and emotions that you need to allow to surface.

If you are stuck with where you start you could ask yourself a generic question such as:

  • If I was a type of weather right now, what would I be?

  • If I was an animal right now, what would I be?

  • How would I describe the way I am feeling using colours?

A good, open question like this can help you to get started and it can gift you some valuable insights.

  • Write A Letter To

When you use this technique, it can be helpful to do it with the intention of burning the letter that you write.
This gives you the freedom to be authentic and vulnerable, to pour your heart out and know that no one will read it.
By writing in this way you are going to be able to go really deep and get the most from the exercise.

You can choose to write a letter to someone that you want to express your feelings to.
It might be a lost love, someone you need to forgive, a situation such as “dear lockdown”, your younger self or your future self.
The idea is to give yourself permission to externalise your feelings so that you can process and heal.

  • Spend Some Mindful Time in Nature

Nature is moving into a different season and cycle and you may well be too.
By taking a walk outside or allowing time for a walking meditation, where you really notice the world around you and allow insights and awareness to come to you, you can bring forwards new ideas and recharge.
Slow down and deliberately engage all of your senses, try to clear and still your mind and see what comes to you when you are in the gap.
