Walking, scoring and more for the ladies... in blackpropaganda

What a joy to have some warm dry weather - and so able to get out and walk - like today with a group which did a walk through forest paths and then up to an ancient site with wonderful views all round. It would have been a major defence point a thousand years ago - or even longer. Never been there before even though it is not more than fifteen miles from home. Then the usual coffee and scones, which by the time we got there was really lunch - after a two hour walk - and back home to get a haircut. Another busy day.

The bad news is that my best friend's sister died. Not unexpected, just a matter of time - the good news is that we have booked to go to London in a couple of weeks - and should see the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy.

No one in the family is willing to wear their Spanish World Cup shirt after they lost last night and are out of the contest having won it last time. The usual problem of an aging team - and others catching them up and going ahead. Fancy that - Spain lose a King (and get another one) and then lose in Brazil - a nation not happy!!!

So just waiting to see if England avoid defeat tonight - if they lose they will be out too. very likely I should say - watch this space.
