Poem in The Beginning

Oh how we forget the night
How we must announce on our
Fallen shore, the lost innocnece
Of virginity and brotherhood
How we all sink into the abyss
How we forget the summer night
Naked by our side, swimming
In a pool of what was one our domain

How can man forget this all?
Tearing the flesh of his mortal soul
Dragging her down to the endless pain
Of sweet divine
How our souls ache in this Golden Land
Where our dreams learn to die
And where our hands no longer touch a flame
The dripping of hot wax pouring from skin
We must dance until we no longer understand

How many of us go by without thinking?
We drink the waters that pollute us
And never reach the surface for the air
