I got this from a reddit post. I’m not sure about the quality of any of this but just saving it here. The general consensus on the Internet is that coding bootcamps ARE NOT worth the money. They don’t facilitate a complete career switch: you still have to learn a lot more. And there are ways to learn the exact same things for free online.

I’m in that much despair about my law career that I’m looking at coding. Just to warn others out there, I’m at a top 20 law school (yeah, law schools CARE A LOT about ranking), came in with a full-tuition scholarship, median GPA, editorship at secondary journal, internship with county’s attorney office in the largest metro area in state. I SEE NO POST-GRAD JOB PROSPECT FOR MYSELF YET! EVERYTHING SEEMS WAY TOO COMPETITIVE. So yes, please do better than me if you want any prospect at all.

All personal experiences. People will disagree, but I’m telling the truth about me.
