It still seems unbelievable that Queen Elizabeth II died yesterday. Just two days ago she was receiving the new prime minister, frail, but standing, that famous smile radiant as always.
What a remarkable and extraordinary human being. She was a good and decent person who inherited enormous responsibilities, which she carried out faithfully to the end of her life.
The most astonishing thing happened just before the death announcement: a double rainbow over Buckingham Palace after heavy rains had subsided.
