Some ex-Muslim is suing a church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for publishing his baptism announcement, saying the notice put his life in danger.
He said the First Presbyterian Church baptized him in private, assuring him his conversion and baptism would be kept secret. Apparently, since apostasy is punishable by death in his native Syria, he thinks he has a case. Well, good luck with that - you're not in Syria anymore, you're in the Land of the (allegedly) Free. You just wanna score some money, and you figure "when in Rome...", so you're suing the church.
I could give a fuck either way, whatever happens. I just think it was lulzworthy.

Don't you know? Syrians make a habit of sending assassins after anyone who turns their back on their faith. It's totally a thing.

Right, and how the fuck is suing the church going to help, exactly? Serious question.
