Games, Wars and more for the ladies.... in blackpropaganda

Just preparing myself for the Portugal/Germany match which should be a cracker. How do I prepare myself? Lie on the sofa and get SW... to make the dinner! Actually she is very keen on the World Cup, less for the soccer but for the amount of peripheral info available in magazine and handouts - and she is religiously filling in the scores. We do not collect the football cards though!

Today has been wonderful - wall to wall sunshine and a chance to mow the lawn - even wearing shorts and showing off the bits that got brown in Spain - no mrs those bits are still white!

Of course the World Cup is blocking out the worst excesses in Iraq - summary executions, suicide bombers - and a virtual civil war. One thing about Saddam Hussein was that he kept the lid on things - Bush and Blair took it off - and what with Syria etc the whole thing is a mess. Actually it goes back to the fact that the states themselves were created as units by the Imperial powers from a whole range of different peoples and religions - all coming home to roost.

And don't get me on to teaching kids 'Britishness' -

Best to just enjoy life - so something for the ladies again - I remember these, and thought they would be good for my granny!!!! I had a Pifco torch.
