Commercials... in Boredoms

It's like bad reality TV...I watch these things because I hate them and I find pleasure in making fun of them or complaining about how awful they are. There's a trend in them, though, which I seem to be noticing more and more now lately and it bothers more than most. I call it the "irritating jackass style" or IJS for short. These are the commercials where companies show how using or just acquiring their products will turn you into, well, an irritating jackass who won't shut the absolute fuck up about the product! Recently, Virgin (the prepaid cell phone company) has one with a guy who is just relentless in letting everyone know how fucking great he is because he has a Samsung Galaxy S5 for only 35 dollars a month.

Am I supposed to want to be this dude? Seriously? If you haven't seen this commercial, look it up on YouTube and tell me you wouldn't want to punch this asshole in the face. Does this sort of commercial appeal specifically to jackasses who are looking for something to lord, incessantly, over their friends? Am I supposed to feel offended this guy thinks he's better than me and therefore I'm going to guy my own S5 on Virgin to shut him up? It's not even just that the guy won't shut up about it but he has to be so bro-style douchey about it! He puts on his resume for a job interview that he's saving "fat stacks" because of this deal. First of all, if this guy doesn't have a job he probably shouldn't be buying a brand new smartphone at full cost. I'm pretty sure that's upwards of $500. Secondly, Aaron Paul owns the phrase "fat stacks" now, you can't use that unless you've paid the royalties.
