I think I might be turning the corner now, and getting over my gallbladder surgery. I sure do hope so because Papa and I have plans to hitch up the Lexus and head (way!) north come Thursday of this week. I just have to be sure that I'm not going to need a bathroom every thirty minutes, because it's about a 12 hour drive thru the uninhabited west. Wide-open spaces, Big Sky, and all that romantic stuff. And I'm too old to crouch behind a sagebrush.

It's just been the last couple of days I've felt like getting out of the apartment. We went to a birthday party for a friend Friday evening and I ate pizza! Really!!! And it didn't bother me one little bit. Last night was our couples bridge monthly meeting and I had to stay up until 'way past my bedtime. Was out so late my hearing aids ran out of juice.

I will drive for the first time since the surgery tomorrow to my Monday ladies bridge game. I'm long past pain meds, so I should be able to concentrate enough to do that. Tuesday I have to go in and see the surgeon and make sure I am healed up enough for the trip.

Papa is having some issues with his blood sugar that will have to be addressed as soon as possible after we get back. We only plan to be gone until the following Tuesday.

Looking forward to watching youngest granddaughter on stage at the summer theater where she is interning this year. She has been active as a "local" talent there since she was a little girl, and now she's actually getting paid (a little) and having a say in the production, which she thinks now she likes even better than performing.

Also looking forward to seeing the rest of the family, and even the little yappy dogs...
