Sex and football... in blackpropaganda

Last night we went to a wedding party. A neighbour's son got married (in the rain which lasted most of the day) - and I had painted a small picture as a present - and we had an invitation to join the party. We guessed there would be a few other neighbours there - and we joined them on a table - and it was a great few hours.

I like weddings, since there is a lot of testosterone floating about from young men with very attractive young women - and also older men with attractive older women. Also what ever the women give off! We took part in some social dancing - had a drink - had some food late on - drank water - and were deafened by the noise of the music, and made hoarse by having to shout to have a conversation - all part of the experience though.

We were early leavers - 11.30 pm - and got home to find the England/Honduras friendly was still on - not knowing that an electric storm in Florida had stopped it for 45 minutes. So we just chilled in front of the tv since there was no way you could go straight to bed.

Once again there is an article about sex in the Sunday paper magazine section - this time on issues of contraception, and how a lot of women still rely on their men 'pulling out' (not always reliable) - backed up by an app on their phone checking their ovulation time - or the 'morning after' pill. As many women know the contraceptive pill is not all it was cracked up to be - and condoms are definitely out. Needless to say there is a growth of abortions for the over-40s approaching menopause who think they are safe - especially with new lovers. No conclusions from the author - looks like, once again, they want some sex in the magazine and this time a 30 year old is asked to write about her and her mates - still, I read it!

And today - just hoping the rain stays away - and I have to recce a walk I am leading tomorrow - pl;ease God, the rain stays away then too.

*Supporting the England football team in big competitions is just like sex.

An unnecessary amount of hype is created for something that will inevitably end prematurely.*
