I actually can't believe how productive I was today!

I bit the bullet and rang up Vodafone today to cancel my service. I knew I should have done this ages ago, because they tried everything to keep me as a customer. I was offered a free brand new phone OR half-price service. I'm stupid because I know if I had just *threatened *to do this ages ago, I could've been getting cheaper internet over the past year or so! I tried to search my account online for an easier way to cancel, but they are clever and make you ring them to cancel. I mean, there is one way around it, and that is to port your number over to a new service, which would automatically cancel the original service. I've done that a few times in the past, but this time it was my mobile broadband number, and I just had no use for it anymore. I actually thanked them. They've provided an adequate service over the five or so years I've been with them, and now that this better deal has come up, it's time to move on I guess. He cancelled it for me with no further dramas.

Now that that was done, I went down to Woolies to get a new Sim. This meant also terminating my phone service with Boost, whom have also been fantastic. I actually felt like I was throwing two of my own children out to the trashcan on the curb today. That's what it felt like. I guess that just means I'm usually a very loyal customer. I bought the required sim, along with some credit. They don't offer the $60 credit I wanted, but rather a $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, $70 and $100 options. Typical haha. I opted for the $70 one, as that lasts 35 days, and I was expecting to last 30 with the $60 anyway. Got home, rang them up to activate it (as I no longer had internet to be able to do so lol) and got that up and running. MAN they asked me so many questions though hey. I even had to sit through a recorded session, saying 'Yes' as I agreed to each statement along with my full name and date of birth. The recording said they hang onto the recording for two years. I figure it's because there are so many dodgy people out there using sims for criminal activity or something lol.

Good news is I get to keep my number. I was told it would take around 2 hours for it to be activated, and that I would receive a text message when it was, and when I did, I had to restart my phone to start using the service. I decided to just watch some TV and cook dinner to waste a bit of time.
It's pretty exciting to have a '4G' in the bars at the top of my phone now. I've never had that before, so that's a pretty cool bonus :) I now no longer have any direct debits coming out of my credit card either! I've been using it most of the night so far, and it seems to be working fairly well. My tablet sometimes has a bit of trouble connecting to it, but I think it's more the tablet itself as I tend to have too much happening at once on it.

Of course, I forgot to grab condoms whilst I was at the shop, but it's not a big deal. It's not like I'm having sex anyway haha. I did have a gander on Grindr for a while tonight, but no-one was really piquing my interest, really. Just some half-hearted conversations here and there. I did actually find an Aussie website last night after I wrote the previous entry, where they sell a decent condom brand I've used in the past in bulk. It's 144 condoms for $35. Considering a 12 pack is usually $10 in stores, it's not a bad deal really haha, but man that's a lot of condoms haha! Anyone will think I'm a damn prostitute if I leave all those hanging around my room haha! And condoms have an expiration date too, although I'm pretty sure they last a few years.

I also put the castors back on my bed tonight. I've put them on and taken them off many times over the years, but the main reason I put them on is because they make my bed a lot higher. I'll probably forget I've put them on, and when I get out of bed tomorrow, I'll probably stack it because I'll have misjudged the height difference. I'm up pretty high now! I think the other reason I didn't like the castors is that my room is a polished wooden floor, and the castors roll around. It doesn't seem too bad this time around though, but my bed is in one corner of the room, so i guess the corner acts as a stability.

Whenever I upload photos to Instagram, I tend to upload them to Tumblr as well. I don't even really use tumblr, but it's handy for when I want to share photos to my diary. I tend to always forget to actually put them in my diary though haha, so here's a few random snaps I've taken lately.
