Khrungbin in anticlimatic

Stumbled onto this video a little while ago and was pretty impressed. I asked my good friend out west, who is a dedicated guitarist and who keeps his finger on the pulse of contemporary talent, if the guy was as good as he seemed like he was- or if it was just a show and he wasn’t all that talented.

My buddy responded that he “is God,” which seems a bit of an overstatement. But the reason why, he explained, was that he was as talented a guitarist as they come- like a lot of the other self-fapping “guitarists for guitarists” kind of musicians. But where those guitarists only really appealed to other guitarists (the music not being particularly melodious, just displays of talent), the guy from Khrungbin was able to take that self-fapping noise and make it sound like music, anytime, all the time. He said he had unprecedented rhythm for someone that mechanically talented.

He also said that the cocky swagger thing he has going is the act, which I find myself digging more and more now that I know it’s backed by some substance.
