Much ado, perfect attendance, and eggs for breakfast. in A Life Uncommon

As usually happens when I get quiet, life got busy. Very busy. Very fast.
In a hysterical anxiety moment I emailed Jack asking if he loved me this weekend. Yeah, I'm seriously crazy. I can't help it.
He put me to bed last night with some good old fashioned love-making and we talked for a long time after.
I really think that the bottom line is that he has no idea how to show love, or how to receive love. The new and exciting chase at the start of a relationship is all he really knows...beyond that, he has no concept. He looked utterly confused when I talked about what I wanted to be for him, and what I needed him to be for me.
So that's, you know, fucking annoying. But what else is new? ;)
This morning we headed to Nich's school to attend an award ceremony, and im glad I bothered to put on makeup and look decent. As soon as we arrived we were told that we were going on stage WITH Nich, because "Parents should be recognized as well!"
He missed 1 day this whole school year, which is ironic considering that we aren't sure if he's passed.
I'm proud of him, though, and hope our journey toward a solution is going to help him thrive this coming school year.
And lastly, I just wanted to gloat about the warm, fresh, delicious eggs I just had for breakfast, straight from the coop and into my pan. Don't you wish your life was as chaotic as mine?

It's great that Nich won an award! And you should be recognized. Getting your shit together every day to get your kids to school can be hard!
