Same old topics in Diary

My new customers want me to go and stay with them this weekend! It will be a 24 hour overnight visit while they go and visit the man's parents. So I'll be there from Saturday 12pm until Sunday 12pm :o)

I've been saving up as much money as I can each month to give myself a buffer while I get set up. Now I've saved up the buffer, it's time to start buying things! So, instead of putting money away at the end of this month, I'm going to buy my new laptop and printer. Next month I'm going to get subscriptions for everything; invoicing software, Pet Sitting Associations, sort out my insurance, get a CRB check etc.

I've just realised if I'm going to start in August, I need to hand in my notice at work next month; I'm bloody terrified at the thought but also very excited :o)

Last night's roller derby was 2.5 hours instead of 1.5 hours and I'm a little stiff this morning. It was a great class though, the warm up was sock-derby where you get all padded up in helmets and pads and play a derby game in your socks! We all felt a bit silly running around the track instead of skating, lol.

I also had another go at 23 laps in five minutes. The first time I tried I got 17.5, last night I got 19 so I'm improving! My cross overs are coming along nicely so once I get the hang of those, I'll be able to increase my speed more. I'm going for my Safe to Skate exam on 29th June so I have until then to get to 23; I don't think I'll pass but it'll be good to see how far off I am.

I can't believe I've only been going for a month! It probably feels like years to you lot reading about it, the amount I go on about it, lol.

Sorry I haven't had any new topics to talk about lately, my business and my roller derby seem to be taking over my life right now :o)
