My friend Danielle is an amazing woman and mother. I am so glad that I can call her friend. She has 5 kids, and her oldest is 19. Her name is Rachel and I only just met her a few months ago because she was living with her grandparents in order to go to Cosmetology school. But she has a passion for photography and decided to start taking it seriously, and just got accepted to North Georgia State to major in photography. She asked for some models to help build her portfolio and I offered to do it. We did it this past Saturday morning and it was so much fun. And, I have to admit that I liked being dressed up for the morning and pretending to be a model. So, here are the pictures.
I Picked this leaf for Salem because I could see her walking through the pathway and shouting out, "It's a heart!" and knew she would pick it herself.
Artistically, I love this picture. And I love the way my tattoo looks.
And generally I hate the way I look when I smile, but I do really like this picture. It makes me feel happy.
Apparently, I look "sweet" in this picture. To me that translates to young.
My favorite black and white picture of me, probably ever.
And this is my favorite picture of them all. It feels natural to me. It somehow makes me feel like Eve and captures struggles for me in my very own garden.
The beacon of light in all of this is that Scott looked at the pictures with me quietly. He didn't say much of anything. About an hour later I saw that he posted one of the pictures on his Instagram page. No caption or comment, but he put it there. And not of these pictures either, one that he thought was the best of me. It makes me hopeful and reminds me that he looks at me differently than I do myself. And I felt special. He loves Instagram and is not a constant poster, so when he does upload pictures, it means something to him.
