Here’s the red and white Valentine’s one I was mentioning in my last entry.
Too many guidelines on such a small ball. Although, I’ve got a pattern for double this number that I want to try shortly. Different stitching though, so maybe it won’t be so annoying.
This next one I wanted to try double stitching. I don’t like double stitching as I have difficulty keeping my threads straight so they lay nicely, but practice makes perfect and blah blah blah.
Also, I did the second side from light to dark. Because I’m trying to use up the thread I have and it turns out I didn’t have enough to do it with both sides the same.
A red and black version of this for my February trade partner.
And a multi-coloured predominantly blue version for a friend as a thank you.
Only one new pattern tried this month. I actually quite like it, although not with the colours I used. I think it will make a good Christmas colours pattern when I get around to it again.
I started stitching and subsequently pulled it out three times before the pattern finally made sense. I am so much more of a visual learner than a book learner.
Stuff and things have actually happened in my real life, so maybe a new entry in the next couple of days? We’ll see.
Also, I’m totally in love with my March trade partner’s temari, which (like a crazy person) I’m trying a new pattern for her. I hope it finishes as well as it’s currently developing. fingers crossed
After that I’m taking a break from handmade and trade while I decide whether or not to participate in craft shows later this year. Lots to think about.

I know the temari are the the point, but I really like the way you stage your temari for photos. The red background for the valentine's temari, the crystal thinger to set off the purples. It's great.
The resource limitation really worked for you, and the double-stitching turned out great. The light and dark sizes are both pretty but it's interesting to have that different kind of mirroring.
