We've been looking after Jay's dad's dog this weekend, a smooth long haired Daschund called Ella. She's been following me around like a shadow, I kept on tripping over her and couldn't even go to the toilet in peace! Sadly, they haven't bothered training her at all so she goes to the toilet in the house and can't sleep alone, so Jay had to spend the night with her, even though he's horribly allergic which means he can hardly breathe and comes out in hives.

When Jay's cousin came over to visit her last night, she just sat on the sofa between me and Jay, barking and growling at him. She wouldn't go anywhere near him, I have no idea why!

Roller derby again today and I think I've cracked skating backwards. I have no idea why I couldn't do it on Wednesday but today, it just clicked first time. Woot woot :o)

I then went to meet a new canine customer. They live just around the corner from where I do roller derby which was handy as I went straight after. They have a blind, epileptic German Shepherd who hardly eats anything and an overweight Daschund who eats everything in sight, so they both need specific care. They want someone to go and stay with the dogs while the owners go on an occasional weekend away. They say that the dogs need so much looking after, they don't often get a full night's sleep so just need a break every so often! The poor blind dog gets confused and often whines in the middle of the night, plus, when he has seizures, they're usually between 3am-6am.

They're both lovely dogs though, the owners liked me and hired me and now I just need to wait for their call for their first weekend away :o) It's making me even more excited about going full time!

Thoughts going out to my sister this weekend who's having a difficult time with her son at the moment :o(
