I finally found what I’ve been looking for for maybe a year or a bit more. It was sitting up beside the activity center. A 2007 Honda CRV. Blue. The for sale sign said $5995. I called the number and met the seller. It is an Arizona car, 140k miles, one Canadian owner, and has been sitting under a carport for the last two years. We took it for a test drive. The seller bought $10 worth of gas, for $4.49 a gallon! It ran nice. I told him I’d buy it. I had already looked it up online and told him I don’t need to haggle over the price.

I called my credit union in Missouri and had them send me a cashier’s check. It should be here in a few days.

I had talked to Daughter on the phone yesterday and told her that I’d found her a car. Well, before she called I’d texted her and told her she needed to buy another plane ticket out here. She asked what for? I said, to come and get your new car out of my driveway. Yeah, she was surprised and stopped texting and called me.

Anyway, I feel accomplished. Daughter still has my old van, but it’s not operable right now and the baby daddy doesn’t feel that his old boat of a car is proper for toting a newborn around in. I’d told her that I’d try to find her a car. It took me a while, but the mission has been accomplished.

Now, to find some land, somewhere.
