Hey friends, how are we all doing today? It’s Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Ugh lol.

I wrote about a week and a half ago. Not too terribly bad. I’m trying to get back into writing more frequently and that will be easier to do once I get my computer set back up.

We haven’t really done anything. We’ve been working on other parts of the house, like the kitchen and it’s still a fucking mess. Ugh, I can’t catch up with the dishes. I hate not having a dishwasher, it just makes life so much easier and less painful. blah.

Soon.

We had planned to go on a picnic on Wednesday of last week, and we prepared for it and everything. It was Ash Wednesday (raised catholic, still observe lent and my husband, although agnostic, supports me and observes it as well, but I will actually get to that in a sec). We bought some Gardein Chick’n Strips that we have had multiple times before and some of the Morningstar Veggie (Bacon) Strips, as well as some spring mix. So Tuesday night I made like 5 wraps with all of that and either ranch dressing or caesar dressing and some shredded cheese.

Tuesday night comes, everythings good, then Randy isn’t able to sleep at all that night, and crawls into bed at 5:30am. So I told him I guess we aren’t going anywhere today. I was kind of upset, but it was crazy windy that day, so it wouldn’t have been a good time anyway.

Thursday I got my paycheck, so we went into town and grabbed some food and a few things from the store. We don’t get food stamps until the middle of the month, which is annoying, but we have managed to get through to there just fine. Randy had been talking with the people handling our foreclosure/auction stuff. We’re literally days away from getting all that money, but the judge is taking their sweet ass time.

The order to be signed was placed on his desk February 2nd. Still hasn’t been signed, but they said they are “usually signed within 45 days”, which brings us to March 18th. There was a few bills I wasn’t able to pay, because we’re back down to my $920 a month in income, plus whatever else Randy is able to make through Twitch donations and commissions.

I simply don’t have a space to work right now, which is why we are going to move into what was my dad’s bedroom and use the area where our bed sits now as my work area. I need a big long wide table to cut my fabric on, so once we get that cleared out Randy will build me a station that I can use for ALL of my stuff. My nails, my art, my sewing and my computer.

Once we get the money and can get the house a little bit worked on, I want to start doing cooking videos or lives on FB, nail videos and artwork videos as well. So, that will be awesome. I can’t cook on my desk in here, so I need a setup for the kitchen, but everything else I can do in here, well mostly, I gotta be able to move the rats out of the room when I do my nails.

When we can afford it also we will be getting a front load washer and dryer combo, one that can be stacked in one corner of the kitchen (that’s where the laundry area is) and that will then clear up the doorway from this room to the kitchen (the dryer takes up half of the space through the door) and it’ll be easier then to roll the cage from this room to our bedroom for a few hours.

We’ve had some other developments within the household as well lol. The Gata (mama cat, Kate) has started coming into our bedroom to hangout with us, and even slept with us in the bed a few nights ago hahahaha. Randy fell asleep on the couch in the living room the other night and he said he woke up and she was asleep on his arm....he was on his side so she was perched on top of him and he kinda chuckled. I told him that’s exactly how they used to sleep on my dad lol. He was like WHAT? Really? lol. yep, there or on his hip, sometimes there would be two of them lol.

So she came back here the other night and slept on him and me and around us. We switched sides of the bed, so I’m tucked in the corner now (I really need to take pictures of this room so you guys can see what we’re actually dealing with....) and there’s a body pillow against the wall to protect from the cold and so we don’t punch any more holes in the wall (we’ve already done about 4 holes). but she would come and lay halfway on the body pillow and halfway on me. She just lays and purrs and purrs for hours.

So that’s been fun lol. Our baby ratties are growing and we are first choice to a litter that was born on February 17th, three or four boys, depending on if one is a dwarf or not. So we will be having more babies soon! Our babies are 4 months old already. Rizzo and Fievel will be 2 in June as well.

I still haven’t talked to my brothers about everything, but I think we’re going to do it not this weekend, because brother M said he’s out of town basically Friday of this week until Thursday of next, so we’ll do it that following weekend. I have a probate packet coming from the county, so I can see what all needs to be done there. My brothers will have forms to sign, but everything is getting transferred into my name. That way I can get the ball rolling on fixing this house.

I need an electrician and plumber to come out and look at shit ASAP because I’m afraid the house is going to burn down one day when we aren’t home. We also have no smoke alarms or any way to know that there might be a fire starting somewhere other than our own noses. I wonder if there’s someone that can come out and inspect the house to see what all needs to be brought up to code. And if they see the state that it is in if they will condemn it and then we’ll be out on the street lol.

Our ideal scenario is to flatten this entire house and find a double wide with 4 bedrooms. That way we have our bedroom, we have an office, two separate ones if needed and we have an extra bedroom for MIL. But realistically, we won’t ever have the money to purchase a brand new house that way. Plus all the other costs of demolishing and redoing plumbing, etc.

If you know of any house giveaways, think about me haha.

We were able to get a small advance on the house money though, like really small. They were able to give us $3k, and we have to pay back $800 once we get all the money, or they’ll take that out before they cut the final check. So that helped A LOT. I got all the bills paid and we’re set with that. Plus we bought a few new things we needed like a new modem and router system. We had upgraded our speeds so Randy could stream better, but he was still having problems. turns out, since our modem was about 8 years old, lol, it wasn’t capable of handling the new speeds, so we got a new one, and then found a whole velop system on clearance for like $65, so that should help a lot. This house isn’t big by any means, there’s just a lot of stuff in the way, and it’s all old wood.

Uhhhmmm lets see, what else. Ohhh yeah, I am super itching to get back to the sewing stuff. I went to Walmart the other day and bought three rolls of fleece, I check for new colors/patterns whenever I go, and sometimes they have some, most of the time not. So I saw a new color, picked up three and we were headed out. When I rang them up, they were $0.30 instead of $3.00. So cool, no prob.

We went back like a week later, and they had more of that color, so I scanned it with the Walmart app to check the price and sure enough, still $0.30! So I ended up cleaning out that entire color. There was 27 rolls, so I spent less than $10 on a SHIT TON of fleece. Now I gotta cut them down into sheets (trim the edges of the thread and square them out) so I can cut my pieces out of. though, I do need to figure out how to make templates for my patterns. Most are super simple, but having a template to cut around will make a HUGE difference. I had made some out of cardboard but those got left behind and they were starting to bend and tear. So I’m looking for something else to make them out of. Maybe plastic canvas or something. my eyes just went crossed lol.

ANYWAY so there’s that. Uhmmm yeah. I gotta do some laundry today as well as more dishes, so that’s good times. It’s only 11:30, so we got all day. Hope you all are having a great week, don’t forget that clocks change this upcoming weekend (Unless you’re in AZ). take care everyone!
