cauterization and cozies in Second 1st

Rocky had called out Friday. He’d spent most of Thursday asleep and paid for it, though he has no idea why, Friday with a huge migraine. Rocky is not prone to them so after getting ready for work and attempting to get rid of it with some dark/quiet time and some excedrin migraine I gave him some of the Rizatriptan. I’m not sure if that had made him really tired or what but he made the call to not go in. It’s fine.... I think it’s the first time he’s called out since starting in July? June?.... I also can’t blame him for his reasoning except that he wasn’t fall down drunk dizzy like I get when I’ve gotten a bad migraine. He went straight back to bed though and slept most of Friday away.

He had a preordered game and honestly at first I thought that might have been a reason he’d decided to stay home. I went and picked it up by myself.... and he didn’t get up till almost 3. Then, we played Pokemon the rest of the day and we both went to bed by 8. .... I guess it was just time for him to have a bad day/call out.

The rest of the weekend was pretty quiet and a fair bit productive on the cup cozies.


Those 2 were made specifically because a girl at Dutch Brother’s said “If you had one that was hot pink and had a glittery button.”..... Either way once I finish 10 cozies I’m going to list them in the apps (FB marketplace, Mercari, OfferUp). I don’t think the others will be as girly.... or have so many appliques.


I’m starting a dark green one now that I plan on putting one of the star buttons on. Rocky said that if I intend to make and for guys to leave them plain. I think I’ll do one dark green with 3 yellow star appliques and one without any..... Then, 2 blue ones.... I’m thinking turtles.... the same way, with the clock buttons..... one plain and one with 3 turtles? ..... shrugs we will see.

Went to the dermatologist yesterday to remove a bunch of skin tags. It was pretty neat. They took some numbing stuff in a syringe and gave me a good 10 shots just under the skin. Then, they just cut them all off. I didn’t feel the snipping. They used this skin welder looking thing and cauterized the little wounds. Didn’t hurt till later in the afternoon.... killing me today but it will pass. 13 in one, 17 in the other so I’ve got a good 30 wounds in my armpits right now. They will heal and then I hopefully can stop thinking of my armpits hurting as a side effect of the medicine I’m on.

Rocky said he had no intention of leaving the house today. We’d ended up eating out twice yesterday basically because he wanted to and there were other things to do while we were out. .... I’d gotten a letter from the new mortgage company saying they were about to purchase home owners insurance for us.... but we have it. Complications with Rocky not having a clue what he’s doing had us running to somewhere to print something.... then scan it… so he could have a file type that was acceptable to the mortgage company. I’ve got to ask him if he finished that when he gets up. Also, to call in his tax info to the student loan place..... We also needed to pick up prescriptions yesterday.... … We did those things separately and conveniently enough to eat both lunch and dinner out.

I don’t care really.... just that I’ve been calorie counting the last few weeks and yesterday was a huge failure. Of course, I wake up thinking today I’ll do better. I really want a Christmas Morning Chai tea at Dutch Brother’s today so I’ve gone light with breakfast.... and lunch is planned light.... and dinner is planned AT HOME.... it should be fine.

I think that’s it for today. I plan on working on coffee cup cozies most of the day.... (this is when I name my entries.... that’s why the titles are so strange lol)
