Little girl, little girl, little girl. What you fail to understand about me is that I lived way too many years in military base housing. Dealing with your Trailer Park Trashy ass would be considered a step up for me. Trust this, I will win any battle you bring to me. Lucky for you I have maturity, experience, strong work ethics, and too much class to lower myself to your level. Therefore I will continue to document your actions at management's request, while sitting back, watching, as you dig yourself deeper. You can thank me later for being so generous towards you.

BOOM! And that's what happens when you piss me off for the last time. Lets see you talk your way out of this Baby Girl. Oh and you too, Little Girl, since you wanted to train Baby Girl with your bad habits. Sorry that Mr. General Manager won't be able to save either one of you from Mr. Regional Manager. Actually, no, I'm not sorry. I tried to play nice. Y'all don't like nice apparently. This is how the Big Girls play. Welcome to my playground.
Little Girl = Mysti and Baby Girl = Lorena.
sigh Them two will be the death of me yet.
For weeks now we have been having an issue with those two not completing their PM Checklist on 3-11. When I work 3-11, there is no problem with everything on the list getting done. Especially since there is at least 2 of us on shift. Same with them. They however, are too good to do such menial work. Tuesday night I finally said something. Lorena looks at me and says, "That's night auditor's job." I cut my eyes at her and said, "Actually, it is on YOUR checklist to do by 10 pm. But if you bothered to read it before you checked it off as being done, you'd know that and we wouldn't be having this conversation. In fact, it is the last item on your checklist." So then she just looks me dead in the eyes and says, "Oh" and then walks out the door to go home. Without doing what needed to be done. Knowing Lorena like I do, I know she was leaving it for Mysti to do since Mysti was still there closing out their shift. What Lorena forgot is that Mysti is Queen of Lazy and had no intentions of doing it either. And she didn't. She finished her paperwork, clocked out and there I was, left to finish their shit before I could start mine.
So Baby Girl, I will see your "Oh" and raise you a "Oh damn! Oh no she didn't!" (finger snaps included). Let's see you talk your way out of that one. Unfortunately there is no one you can throw under the bus to take the blame for you because YOUR signature is all over that paperwork. Oh, and it's kinda hard to say that wasn't you when it is clearly your voice on the audio proof. So yeah. Don't piss me off, do the job you are getting paid to do, man up and accept responsibility for your actions and we will get along just fine.
Oh, and Mysti, way to go by blatantly disregarding Omar (General Manager) and doing exactly what he told you not to do. Bob (Regional Manager) really loved hearing about that. snickers
I really wasn't trying to tattle-tell. I really wasn't. But these are things that management needs to know about. Mysti's "blunder" ended up costing the hotel $150. Omar had to know about that. Lorena's attitude sets the guests on edge and creates unnecessary paperwork/apologizes to guests/mud on our faces. So that needs to stop also. Omar asked for me to let him know these things since he can't be at the hotel 24/7 so that's what I did. It was just an added bonus on my part that Bob was part of the conversation. If Omar doesn't put a stop to it, Bob most certainly will.
I also told Omar that I have to work there also. I need to be able to count on my team working with me and not against me by throwing their duties on top of mine because they can't be bothered with doing it or because they feel it is beneath them to do it. If it is good enough to expect me to do the same thing when I work 3-11, then it is good enough for them to do it also.
So there you go.
Despite all that, I still love working there.
Except for tomorrow. We have 94 reservations checking in tomorrow. Check in is not till after 3pm. I work 3-11pm. God help us all.
Till next time ...
