Sunday we drove up to the new cemetery…Miramar National Cemetery. We will be buried there now that Ft. Rosecrans is closed. George said there was no reason to go up there, but I wanted to see what it looked like.

It’s not just dirt, as George insisted it was. There are flags and small rows of markers now. When we arrived, they were anxiously getting this small green spot ready for ceremonies at one. In the sun. No, we wouldn’t be there we told a retired officer. On our way home, we stopped again to Photograph Ft. Rosecrans in the sunshine.

Sunshine at Ft. Rosecrans.
