Quizzical.. in blackpropaganda

We went quizzing last night - all in a good cause, and there only five teams - but a good quiz master, and interesting questions. We joined up with two young women and two middle aged women who needed more people - and it was likely the young women (18/19) who had a bottle of wine between them would not contribute too much - but the other two were keen. In fact, in the end everyone contributed - and wonder of wonders - our team won - this against a table where there were old established quizzers who were competing hard - and even queried an answer in the last round vociferously - they were overruled - and we won by one point - the were not chuffed!!! So we got six bottle of wine between us and one did not drink - so we came home with two bottles of wine and and a box of chocolates won in the raffle.

It is great to have an evening with people you do not normally see socially - and have a good time in a friendly atmosphere - maybe we will be banned next time - or asked to be on someone's team.

A quiet day today - SW...is out and I am home alone - but I have to write something for a magazine on an aspect of history - and I have been putting it off - so this weekend I have to do it!! I have all the material, but have to think how to organise it. Writing this is a bit of time wasting, but I have written 600 words

Of course I might just do a little fantasising too!!
