I’ve been listening to the album Hounds of Love by Kate Bush on repeat lately.

This song has been stuck in my head:

I love it so much.
I looked up the lyrics and the song is especially interesting to me- I love songs with hidden backstories or history that aren’t always apparent.

I found this small snippet on Genuis.com about the lyrics:

“This song is told from the point of view of Peter Reich, son of Austro-Hungarian psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich. The song discusses Wilhelm’s incarceration by the FBI in 1941.

Orgonon was the research centre of Wilhelm Reich, and his family home. Today, the site serves as museum to him and his research.”

I’ve never heard of this despite my interest in history. I have a new topic to dig up information on, which is probably my most worn-in pasttime.

I admire artists than can create these sorts of enduring records of things that happened that could/may have faded into obscurity.
