Unexpected trip. in In the Kingdom of Suzu

We are in NC as of Thursday. My fil is in hospice and we initially were told it would be only a couple of days so we made plans to be here into next week. Now they said that it could be longer so I am not sure if we will stay as long or leave Sunday and just come back later or just stay most of the week and then not come back. It is an 8 hour drive down. My PA sil came Thursday and is leaving Sunday, I do not know if she would come back down or not. My fil looks good once he is awake, he has no pain and really perks up when people are around. Overnight he does bad. He has been off dialysis since Monday. This is bringing back memories of my dad.
