Today Is Going To Be.... in Help Me Please

The same as yesterday and tomorrow.
I don’t think much changes in a day except maybe your weight because of what you eat or don’t eat but the activities you do in a day usually stay the same. Except for getting married or having children being born then those days are the real memories.
But then there are some events that always ask the question where were you or what were you doing when this happened and did you watch it on TV or in real life?
Like where were you when Kennedy got shot or John Lennon? Did you watch the moon walk back in 1968? And did you go to Woodstock in 1969?
And when our favorite musician died how sad were you? I am not sure I was so sad that I cried but when I heard it wasn’t natural causes then my thoughts changed and I figured it was their own doing because they were the ones who were so sick. But there were also others who killed our favorite musicians and I blame them. Like the doctor who killed Michael Jackson there was no need to do that.
I often wonder what would have become all of these famous people who died at such a young age and what they would be doing now.

Onto something else.....

I heard from my son and he is going to come for turkey on Monday and I will be taking it out of the freezer today and putting it in the fridge so it can thaw slowly. And at the same time I will take dinner out for tonight I am thinking chicken. yesterday I made frozen sole and it was pretty good.
And hubby brought home a Costco pumpkin pie yesterday so that is in the fridge and I won’t be having any of it because it has too much sugar in it.
And at Christmas he brings home other goodies mostly chocolate and i think he take part in the secret Santa and always ends up with something he really doesn’t need. Like one year he got a weird kind of beer that he never had before and hasn’t had since. But then you can always tell what people like when they give you stuff. Another year one of his bosses gave him a Christmas sweater and I called it the Ugly sweater and he could wear it then. So I figured his boss thought he needed a sweater because she didn’t like the ones he had?
Here is a question for you? When you are buying a gift for someone and they haven’t told you what they want do you get them something you like and think they should have? Or do you think of something outside the box? or do you remember that they saw something and said they would like it? I always try to get a list from people so I know what they want they will like and won’t take it back and get something much uglier. There was one year where my son wanted the Friends DVD season so I got him that and he was so happy . And to see that smile on his face is just priceless at any age.

Onto something else....

I am kind of looking forward to this holiday season and if I have my way all my shopping will be done by November because people are saying start your holiday shopping now so there won’t be any delays or they won’t run out of stock so I am trying to get the list from people. But they are telling me it’s still too early. But with people like my son I will keep asking him every time I see him. And hubby I just nag him till get gets fed up listening to me ask him and then he will give me his list. And I suppose I should get something for my idiot sister in law and brother in law but the one thing I won’t get them is alcohol. I really don’t like being around drunk people so I do avoid them when I know they are drunk and behaving badly.

I am hoping I will be almost at my goal weight by Christmas and then I won’t have to pay for anything to do with my weight loss journey.
My dad called e yesterday out of the blue and he told me how proud of me he is and that he is really happy that I have lost so much weight and he loves me more then my brother. But the truth is that he loves me differently then my brother because I am the first born and I am his only daughter but I do know that my parents love both me and my brother.

Onto something else…

I need to stop here and go look for some dinner and get the turkey from the bottom of the freezer.
