And it’s Squat Day. Rawr. This will be workout 7 in 8 days.

Mind you, I pick things up and put things down. Workouts have drifted to upwards of 80-90 minutes. Still running an upper/lower split, but I’m toying with upper/lower/upper/lower/upper/rest repeat. Yeah, I should put one more day of rest, but I feel great and my lifts are still going up.

Headspace is actually pretty good. The past week or so feels a lot better than last June. It feels like I’m existing without any adrenaline. I’ve been trying 5-htp again, but this time taking it earlier in the day rather than right before bed. Could be that, I don’t know. There’s a calm I haven’t felt in over a decade.

I had yesterday off. Did I play a video game? Nope. Did I watch anything on netflix? Nope. Other than gym, hit up two meetings, and keep my protein intake high, I zoned out on youtube, and hit the dopamine refresh button on social media.

And as of this writing, I’m not bothered by this at all.

Or maybe it’s because there’s nothing looming. When you’re depressed, a sink full of dishes can feel like a tipping point of overwhelming. Well, sink is empty, I vacuumed last week, fridge is full of fresh leftovers, rent is paid, and there’s no current bills. At worst, my laundry stack in the corner of my bedroom is getting higher.

But, I seriously still have a bunch of t-shirts in my closet, so I can hold off on that indefinitely.

The hamper beside the corner hamper is for knickers and wife beaters. I tend to run out of them faster than shirts. And digging through shirts to find underclothes is a pain in the perineum.

The right side is mostly long-sleeve shirts and pants; non-shirt sleeve shirts. As in, the right side is mostly empty So, don’t let the single wife-beater fool you. When I do laundry, the left side is generally FULL. As I say so often, I generally FIFO my clothes. This way clothes I don’t wear much drift to the front.

Oh, I like that shirt, but a chick mentioned she liked it and I’ve contemplated giving it to her. I’m at an age, and in a culture, where saying “I like girls” might be a red flag to some idiots. I’ll stick with less controversial shirts.

That was yesterday’s upper body garment. I think today I will favor my “Timmy Is Awesome” t-shirt. Ha, you don’t even need visual proof that I have one.

Have a great day, box of prose. May all your squats be like how I like my women: deep.
