Betsy was so sweet. She had "gift" after gift after gift for me. I've been hearing about these gifts for the past week or two, every single day. One (a picture) she finished last week, hid under the couch, and told me not to clean the living room up for fear I would ruin the surprise.
Other gifts included showing me how she could count by twos, more pictures, and the "Mother I love you" song sang in person and while dancing up and down the stairs. As soon as she awoke on Sunday morning, she bounded into my room, blaring, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! NOW IT'S TIME FOR YOUR FIRST PRESENT! I WILL SNUGGLE WITH YOU!"
Being a mom is both exhausting and exhilarating. And what will I do, when my sweet girl is no longer six? Other stages are marvelous, but this is the stuff of my dreams.
