It looks like it is getting lighter out. It has been raining/snowing for about 48 hours. The temp is right around freezing so most of the snow has melted, fortunately. Otherwise, we would probably have two feet or more! Snow in May is not really too unusual here, but this much is ridiculous!

We were supposed to have company overnight last night. Papa's brother and wife from Idaho were going to come thru here on their way to LA to visit a son. The forecast was so grim, we called them and told them they'd better find another route. I checked the road conditions in Wyoming...the way they had planned to come...and saw that I80 was pretty much closed, border to border. I hated to tell them not to come, but I'm so glad they didn't get stranded out there on the high plains!

Mike had planned to grill dinner for all of us. When I told him that the company wasn't coming, he said we should come over anyhow. But it was such an ugly day, and I was still having gas and soreness from my procedure Friday, so the whole thing got canceled. We'll do it another time. It was a very long day yesterday.

I don't know if we'll get to hook up with brother-in-law on their way back or not. He and Papa talked about meeting in Cheyenne, but it looks like they will be coming thru there about the time I'm having my gallbladder out.

Oh, look! I think the sun is coming out! Now it will get hot. We have made arrangements to go to the baseball game Sunday. Supposed to be 86 degrees... It's springtime in the Rockies!!!
