Human-caused global warming over the last 100 years, and resulting climate change and alteration of worldwide habitats on land and at sea, have resulted in countless species extinctions, and the pace is only speeding up exponentially.
Here is an example of the marvekous creatures that could fall victim to human folly in the near future. Our hubris has come back to haunt us and jeopardize our very existence as a civilization. It’s already too late for many species.

a real tragedy for sure, its very distressing. However it will take a major shift in humanity's behaviour to stop further destruction of any species unfortunately. I just hope that change happens soon. Hunters, users of most cosmetics, developers, certain scientists need a wakeup call, but that comes down to consumers. Not to mention those who exploit earth's resources and create huge wastage. I like to think we can still wake up and take this seriously. A sad blight on society for sure. Human hearts and minds urgently need a change of values. p
