First impressions in A mish mash of entries

Oh boy.... the girlfriend has landed! She seems ok, very southern states American (which to me is cool), and she's really giggly, which is probably/possibly nerves as this was the first time she'd flown. Son told me a few days ago that she's overweight and I imagined her needing to lose a stone or so... but she is a lot heavier than that. They seem to be getting on ok, but they've spent most of the time in his bedroom (she sleeping as she didn't manage to sleep at all on the overnight flight and son watching football (Arsenal won which pleased him no end)). They came down for dinner and she hardly ate anything, but that could well be because she'd only just woken up.

It's weird because normally when people stay here they're my guest, but of course, she's not and it's not up to me to entertain her. I shall be at work tomorrow and every other day while she's here, so it really is up to son to play host with the most.
