I know you’re all on the edge of your seats, wondering how my toe nail is doing…
Wait, what do you mean, “what toe nail..?”
My infected, pus-spewing toenail that didn’t like the Ridgeway water after my 14 mile trek run..? D’you remember now?
M’kay.
Several of you were very concerned at my nonchalant lack of interest in antibiotics but I really only use them when I really need to, bacteria evolution is super fast and I’d rather save my antibiotic use for essential bacteria.
So, antibiotics for inside things, disinfectant for outside things.
After four days of cleaning and disinfectant it had cleared up completely. Then a couple of days later, the edge, where it was cracked ‘came loose’ (ie I picked it off…) and the rest, where the infection had been, was hollow, no longer attached to the nail bed. It was really cool! However I trimmed it very short so that it wouldn’t get caught on anything and rip off.
So there is the tale of my pinky
