- keep food away from litter tray
- introduce him to litter tray as soon as he arrives to the house
- place him in the litterbox first thing in the morning, last thing at night and after every meal.
- praise him when he uses the litterbox
- a kitten will begin to scratch and sniff and crouch in a corner if they want to do the toilet. if the cat does begin to do these things put them in the litterbox right away.
- try not to scold him for accidents
- if accident does occur clean the spot with an ammonia free product
- remove soiled litter once a day with scoop
- change cat litter completely once a week
